Tournament MVP – G Da’Sean Butler West Virginia

Best Game – West Virginia 60 Georgetown 58 in the final.

Biggest Upset – Cincinnati over Louisville

Biggest Surprise – Cincinnati Bearcats

Biggest Disappointment – Connecticut Huskies

What to take from the tournament – The Big East conference cemented itself as the premier conference in the country. Any team can beat any other on any given day. The “upsets” in the quarterfinals should not have been considered upsets. The Big East is just that deep. This league probably has eleven teams that if selected to the NCAA tournament, could reach the Sweet Sixteen. It’s too bad probably only eight of them will get that chance.

Best USF Player – Dominique Jones

Biggest USF Surprise Player – Toarlyn Fitzpatrick

Biggest USF Disappointment – The seniors. Chris Howard and Mike Mercer

What USF can take from the tournament – They need practice from the perimeter, or Shaun Noriega needs to play when opponents switch to a zone defense.
